JOIN INDIAN AIR FORCE AS AN AIRMAN
Indian Air Force(IAF) invites applicatins from unmarried male candidates for the posts of Airman in Group ‘Y’ (Non Technical) in Indian Air Force for selection Test August 2010 recruitment.

AGE: Candidates should be born between 1 January 1990 and 28 February 1994 (both date inclusive).

QUALIFICATION: Candidates should have passed intermediate or equivalent with Science, Art or Commerce with atleast 50% marks in aggregate for applying for the posts of Airman in Group ‘y’ (Non Technical) in Indian Air Force.

NO. OF POSTS: Several posts are availbale for the position of Airman.

PAY SCALE: Selected candidates will get the prescribed salary.

SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process for the posts of Airman in Group ‘y’ (Non Technical) in Indian Air Force includes a selection test follwed by the physical test that will be organized by Central Airman Selection Board.

EXAMINATION CENTRES: Ambala, New Delhi, Kanpur, Barrackpore, Jodhpur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Bihta, Guwahati, Secunderabad, Kochi and Bhopal.

(Note: – These are likely to be activated depending upon the response of candidates and testing capacity).

HOW TO APPLY : Application Form: Application should be in A4 size paper only. Non Standard application formats will be rejected. The following are to be sent along with the application form:-
(a) Three copies of unattested recent (taken on or after 15 may 2010) passport size Color photograph, One of which is to be pasted on the application form and the other Two are to be stapled to the top left corner of the application form. The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his Name, Date of Birth and Date of photograph clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. Photograph should be only on good quality” photo paper” (Six photographs during test).
(b) Attested copies of Matriculation Certificate in support of Date of Birth. Attested copies of marks sheet & Certificate of Education Qualification. Candidates who have appeared for qualifying examination in 2010 can send ‘e-marks sheet’.
(c) One unstamped self address 24cm x 10cm white envelop of good quality, stapled/pinned with the application form.
Candidates are to bring with them the following at the time of examination :-
(a) Six copies of their color photographs which was submitted at the time of application.
(b) Original Matric Certificate and Marks sheet with three copies of each for verification of Date of Birth.
(c) Original Certificate & Marks sheet of Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent vocational course examination as applicable with three copies of each.
(d) NCC Certificate (A,B or C only), if applicable (original & three copies).
(e) Son of Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate/Discharge Book, if applicable (original & one copy).
(f) HB pencil, eraser and sharpener.

Note: Candidates should not bring mobile phone or any electronic device or their personal belongings at examination venue. Candidate are permitted to carry only writing material, photographs and candidates mentioned at para 17 (a) to (e) above at examination centre.

LAST DATE OF RECIEPT OF APPLICATION:-

Last date for receipt of applications at the Central Airmen Selection Board is 10 June 2010. For candidates from North East Region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland & Tripura), Sikkim Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, the last date is 20 June. Application should be sent to the Post Box Address as mentioned below by ordinary post only. Application sent by Registered/Speed Post/Courier will not be accepted.
